1. How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by contacting us directly at the salon on 07852 840077 or by e-mail, thegroominglounge24@outlook.co.uk, alternatively you can message us on any social media platform.
2. How long is the waiting list?
I'm open 5 days a week and offer late nights on specific days so I can accommodate a wider choice of appointments and times. Please call me to arrange the best appointment time to suit you.
3. How long will you keep my dog for?
Appointments are approximately 1 hour for a bath and brush and 2 hours for a full groom (Dependent on condition of dogs coat & condition).
4. Do I need to walk my dog before the appointment?
Before arrival please walk your dog to release some energy and let them go to the toilet before the grooming process starts, this makes the groom easier and more enjoyable for your dog.
5. Does my dog go in a cage?
I do not use cages in my studio as I only offer a 1:1 service. I have a dedicated area for holding dogs if needed (multiple dogs from the same family) that has a secure baby gate to keep your dog safe and cosy.
6. Do you use drying cabinets?
I do not use a drying cabinet.
7. Why can't you give me a definite price over the phone?
Prices are set realistically depending on the breed and work to be carried out but you may incur additional charges for removal of stubborn knots and unkempt coats. All prices will be confirmed with you when I see your dog present at the salon.
8. Do you charge a ' no show' fee?
As I lose money when business does not show up I charge the full amount of the groom for no shows. This money must be paid before another appointment is made. Please contact me in advance to cancel appointments. Please read my 'Terms and Conditions' for all my cancellation/no shows policies and fees.
9. My dog can be aggressive, will you still groom them?
Muzzles may be used only as a last resort and if required. They will only be applied for a very short part of the process. I will always try my hardest to ensure your dog is comfortable and happy throughout their time in the salon. Discussions can be had with owners to put a plan in place to get your dog used to my environment and the grooming process.
10. How frequent should my dog be clipped or groomed?
Normally 6-8 weeks. Frequency of grooming visits will depend on the breed of dog and your choice of styling for your pooch. This will be discussed with the owner at the end of each grooming session.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
